Description
Purpose:
To provide professional and accountable service to our Railroad customers regarding lubrication, lubrication equipment and
related products and services in a manner that adheres to our commitment to safety, honesty and integrity.
Duties:
• Functions in accordance with the company philosophy and Mission Statement outlined in Employee Handbook
• Maintains, fills, inspects, and repairs on-track lubricators
• Enters relevant service information into computer system on a timely basis
• Builds relationships with customers through friendly attitude. Provides customer service assistance to railroad
personnel as needed.
• Assists in the planning of warehouse and truck inventory
• Accountable for time management, tracking, and submission of proper paperwork for work performed and associated
billing paperwork.
• Maintains interior cleanliness of truck along with delivery system equipment to maintain a highly reliable, professionallooking
delivery vehicle. Operates and maintains service vehicles, tools, and other company equipment to ensure a safe
work environment.
• Team-oriented attitude in assisting other employees as necessary to provide an efficient work environment
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Team Lead or Division Manager
• Complies with all ILCO and railroad safety rules and use of required PPE
• Travel and overnight stay required for this position
Qualifications:
Minimum
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience working in a service, repair, or maintenance position
• Must be physically able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Excellent verbal communication skills for customer interactions
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to make and adhere to time schedules
• Strong mechanical and organizational skills
• Must successfully complete Pre-Employment screenings (Background, functionality, driving record, drug, etc.)
Preferred
• Holder of a Commercial Driver’s License
• Technical or College degree
• Previous railroad experience
• Strong Computer Skills
• Current holder of RR certifications (NARC, ERail, Rules, etc.)
