Description
Job Purpose:
Develop and manage Human Resource functions and Safety programs in an effort to support business needs as it relates to these areas of the business. 

Duties:
  • Functions within the guidelines of ILCO’s philosophy and Mission Statement.
  • Oversees and manages HR and Safety personnel and related activities to support company managers and staff.
  • Works with other managers to develop and promote safe work environment for all employees.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.Manages onboarding process for new hires.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program.Monitors the performance evaluation program.
  • Develops, recommends and implements policies in regards to Safety and Human Resources, ensuring compliance with state and local statutes and regulations.
  • Administrates employee benefits
  • Establishes and maintains personnel and safety records and reports.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of HR and Safety departments in relation to established goals.
  • Regular travel to all locations is required - offices/warehouses are located in multiple states throughout the country as well as a location in Canada.
     
Qualifications:
Minimum
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience.
  • Proven high level of self-motivation and organizational skills required to manage and administer activities remotely and across a large geographical area.Experience working with multi-location, multi-state operations.
  • Strong leadership and communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with federal and state employment laws, safety and DOT regulations.
  • Experience with workers compensation claims management.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications as required. Required certifications will be paid for by company.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Senior Human Resources certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP).
